gifts in 2007!2. Sadly anticipate the 3,000 US death in Iraq by New Year’s Day. Please
seek out a vigil in your community or organize one, include a prayer
for these and all those killed in your Prayers of the People, May we
end this senseless violence and repent for our complicity in this war.
3. Make your plans now come to the Christian Peace Witness in DC on March 16th (7:00pm) click here
(http://www.epfnational.org/publish/CPW.shtml) or plan a vigil in your
community. 25 Christian denominations are represented. EPF was
instrumental in getting the National Cathedral as the site for the
event. We will worship together on this 4th anniversary of the start of
the Iraq war, process to the White House (either candlelight walk or on
bus) gather at Lafayette Park for a Rally and opportunity for divine
obedience (civil disobedience). You can participate in any or all of
the activities. EPF will host a gathering for Episcopalians the next
day, Saturday, March 17th in Trenbath Hall at St. Albans Episcopal
Church. Peace will not happen in Iraq until many more have said, "ENOUGH!"

Church and hand out at diocesan gatherings. Featured in this issue are
the personal stories of General Convention seen through the eyes of
EPF’s ten young adults who participated in the Young Adult
Presence, reviews by Kerry Walters, Naim.
8. Many, many thanks to the Rev. Kerry Walters who
has marvelously served as the editor of Episcopal Peace Witness over
the last four years. Kerry has contributed endless hours to create a
paper that informs, educates and promotes peace issues and concerns. We
have truly been blessed. Kerry is the William Bittinger Professor of
Philosophy and the Edwin T. and Cynthia Shearer Johnson Distinguished
Teaching professor at Gettysburg College. Kerry is a prolific author
whose latest book, Merciful Meekness: Becoming a Spiritually Integrated
Person, which serves as a counter-guide to Christianity’s
naysayer. The Rev. Robin Jarrell, who been the design co-edited with
Kerry will continue with Episcopal Peace Witness. More about the new
directions of EPF’s communications package in the February e-mail.
9. January 27, Join United for Peace and Justice in a massive march on Washington, D.C., click here

call on Congress to take immediate action to end the war. On Election
Day the voters delivered a dramatic, unmistakable mandate for peace.
Now it's time for action. We will converge from all around the country
in Washington, D.C. to send a strong, clear message to Congress and the
Bush Administration: The people of this country want the war and
occupation in Iraq to end and we want the troops brought home now!
