1. New EPF Mission Statement (From Strategic Planning): The Episcopal Peace Fellowship is proactively-Dismantling Violence, Doing Justice, and Striving to be Peace Makers.
Almost 400 households participated in EPF's strategic planning survey.
First, thank you! Your National Executive Council took your ideas and
suggestions seriously and gathered in Chicago to work with a Consultant
creating a plan for the next five years…The plan will be
reported in June's Monthly…for now, take a look at a summary of
the survey results by clicking here .
2. EPF communications Revolution:
There
will be a New format for Episcopal Peace Witness: Within the next two
weeks you will receive an e-mailed copy of our online EPW. We need to
know, if you also want a mailed copy…otherwise it will come out
in an electronic format. If you would like a mailed copy, please write
to Sara Filipiak at epfsaraf@ameritech.net. If you would like copies
(25 cents each) please place an order with Sara as well.
3. EPF Speakers Bureau Needs YOU! Please
let us know if you're able to be listed with our Speaker's Bureau. Tell
us the area(s) that you are willing to speak and how far you're willing
to travel and whether there is a fee: epfsaraf@ameritech.net

5. EPF chair, Gary Commins New Book: Becoming
Bridges: The Spirit and Practice of Diversity is now available and can
be purchased through Amazon.com. Gary has extensive experience working
with diverse communities and populations.
6. Cuba's Rev. Canon Nerva Cot Aguilera will
be installed June 10th as one of two new suffragan bishops for the
Cuban Anglican Church. Nerva Cot is a long standing EPF member. Luella
Bassett (Michigan) is receiving contributions for medicine in honor of

TAKE ACTION for CUBA: Congressman
Charles Rangle's (D-NY) bill H. R. 624, "Free Trade With Cuba Act,"
would repeal the US economic embargo; his bill H. R. 654, "Export
Freedom to Cuba Act of 2007" would lift sanctions on Americans
traveling to Cuba. Congressman Delahunt (D-Mass) has a bill to relax
the Bush sanctions against Cuban-Americans traveling to Cuba. Charles
