In this first year we partnered with the diocese to sponsor a nonviolence training in Keene, Jonathan Daniels’s home town. Some of our members are involved in a justice coalition called The Granite State Organizing Project. We are trying to change a discriminatory drivers license policy aimed at legal immigrants. Additionally, we are consulting with Dartmouth students about sponsoring a nonviolence training sometime next year. Ongoing advocacy for a diocesan resolution calling on our people to learn about and practice reconciliation is a priority. In Goffstown N.H. a few E.P.F. members have collaborated with Dr. Thomas Lee, author of the soon to be published “Battle Babble”, to form Neighbors Advancing Nonviolence. Modeled after Jerusalem’s Women In Black, NAN members gather on the town common every Wednesday at 5:30 pm to uphold the principles of nonviolence, share related resources, and share our sense of commitment with a growing number of neighbors joining in the witness.
